Looking Forward to the 2019 Season!

The 2019 season is just around the corner at Lake George Escape and we are busy getting everything ready. Our theme weekend activities are a big hit here at Lake George Escape, so here is a taste of what’s to come for the 2019 season! Be sure to make your reservations to stay at Lake George Escape this summer!

LGE Cornhole Competition

May 17 – 19

Come and compete in the 1st Annual Spring Cornhole Competition. We have competition for the kids on Saturday at 11am and adults will begin at 2pm. Ribbons and bragging rights will be awarded. Learn to make your own Corn Hole Set. Not feeling the whole cornhole thing? That’s ok, we’ve got you covered with a weekend of family movies and games.

Great American Camp Out Weekend

June 21 & 22

Come to The Adirondack Mountains, it’s all about the great outdoors this weekend at Lake George Escape. Join a nature hike and learn about plants and animals native to the Adirondacks. Learn hiking safety tips, how to make and properly put out a campfire, and setting up a campsite are only a few of the fun activities planned this weekend. Save some energy and start thinking about what you will make for our crock pot cooking competition on Saturday. Call or email us for a list of must-have items in your concoction.

Christmas in July

July 21 – 27

It’s Christmas in July all week long at camp! Site and tree decorating contests, caroling around the park, and Scavenger Hunts are just a sampling of what to expect as we go all out during the happiest time of the year! Santa is coming to have some fun and enjoy some sun with us at Lake George Escape. The jolly ol’ fellow himself will be at The Big Top Saturday Afternoon where he will be waiting to see all the good little campers. Throw in an ice cream social and we’ve got a PARTY! It’ll be a great photo opportunity! Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a holiday cookie decorating party in our rec hall Wednesday and Saturday, and don’t miss our holiday cookie swap Saturday and Paint Party at 4pm. (Tickets for our paint party are available for purchase at the Main Lodge.) You can make your letter to Santa and put it in his special delivery mailbox every morning throughout the week! Make a frame for a holiday family picture or make a Christmas ornament, both will be available daily throughout the week as well. And let’s not forget the ‘Reindeer Games’ Christmas song contest! We’ll have karaoke with our DJs where campers will sing for prizes.

Labor Day County Fair & Carnival Week

Labor Day County Fair & Carnival Week

Labor Day County Fair & Carnival Week

Aug 25 – Sept 2

On Saturday we will have our Ol’ Fashioned County Fair and Carnival. There will be plenty of games, activities and fun for all ages. Enter your best craft made here at camp, and you can also enter your best pie or cake. From decorating apples to our dunking booth, join us as we say goodbye to summer and the kids get ready to go back to school.

Food + Wine Lovers Weekend

Sept 27 – 29

We have a local winery coming in for us to learn a little more about pairing wine and food, and sampling different wines. Our local chef will also come in for a basic cooking class, where guests will learn about (and sample!) different deserts, along with a blind food tasting. So come hungry and share some of your kitchen secrets with us, and we will too! All guests will have the opportunity to buy authentic Adirondack-made wine to take home and share. (Must be at least 21 years old for any alcohol)

First Annual Harvest Festival

Oct 11 – 14

As we say goodbye to another fun season, Honey Bear is getting ready for hibernation. A scarecrow-building competition, pumpkin-chucking contest, and caramel apple making & decorating are just a few of the fun activities we have planned. Not to mention a DJ Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights! We’ll also be celebrating Columbus Day and Thanksgiving for our Canadian friends. Join us Saturday or Sunday afternoon (depending on the weather) for an afternoon wagon ride to see the beautiful leaves changing colors. Note: We’ll have a few discounted items in our store, at the restaurant and the bar.
