- 40th Annual Family Festival
The Lake George Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor their 40th Annual Family Festival in Shepard’s Park from Tuesday, August 13th through the end of the week, on Saturday August 17th. Activities include bounce houses, children’s games, raffles, gift baskets, 50/50, gambling wheels (for adults only!) games, and the chance for your kid to explore the insides of a real fire truck! Be a part of this exciting festival for the whole family! - Lake George Festival of Music
Come see and hear Lake George’s first ever “classical music festival!” The week of August 16th – 22nd will be filled with great live music! Your kids will love the full orchestra with world class musicians and rising stars from around the world. Shostakovich, Beethoven, and a variety of other composers are played by visiting musicians and musical evenings with the ensembles – all featured right here in fantastic Lake George! - Washington County Fair
The fair brings together some of the best of everything in the region, including entertainment, 4-H and agriculture, food, music, great rides, and more animals than you can find anywhere else. There’s something for everyone at the County Fair! Experience the whole County through the fair – the people, rural character, and great agricultural past. The fair will take place from August 19 – 23. - Fireworks at Shepard’s Park Every Thursday
Who couldn’t love a great fireworks display? Fireworks on Lake George are captivating. Be sure to see some of the firework displays with the whole family, every Thursday at about 9:30 (dusk). In the dark, on the lake, the fireworks are so astounding and awe-inspiring that your kids will be thrilled!
