Want to sleep under the stars? On the shore of a lake? Under pine trees? You can here at Lake George Escape!

We have 132 dry tent camping sites here, so there’s a site that’s sure to please you. We even offer motorcycle tent sites. Rates start at just $20 a night.

And, even though you’ll be pitching a tent, you won’t go without a hot shower, as we provide hot showers in our bath houses (we guarantee there will be one just a short walk from any tent site you choose). What’s more, use of the bath house is free.

In addition, all of our tent sites include water and electrical hookups.

But enough about housekeeping issues. Let’s talk about camping in the Adirondacks!

What can you do while camping in the Adirondacks?

Lake George Escape provides you with the chance to camp next to a lake or small stream. You can fish, kayak, go for hikes, play volleyball or horseshoes with new friends. Go for a swim in one of our two pools. Play a bit of tennis, send the kids to the playground for a respite.

We also offer a full menu of family- and kid-friendly activities to fill your days. Care of for guided tubing tour down the Schroon River? What about gem mining? Wagon rides? Bingo? Mini golf? You name it, you probably can do it here.

Oh, and don’t forget hiking in the Adirondacks!

You’ll find many hiking trails and even easy nature trails nearby, perfect for serious hikers as well as beginners and young children. Enjoy the animals, birds and flora all around you. Marvel at how clear the night sky is above your tent.

If you’re focused on hiking, the Adirondacks won’t disappoint, with more than 2,000 miles of trails that make their way through forests, beside waterfalls and along rivers and streams. Many trails reach mountain summits that provide full-circle views of the surrounding area.

If you’re especially ambitious, consider making it a goal to climb to the top of as many of the 46 peaks of the Adirondack High Peaks. Each one is at least 4,000 feet tall and – hard to believe but true – it is possible to hike to the top of two or three in one day.

Whether you’re new to camping, want to camp by yourself or bring your family, whether you’re coming by backpack, car, RV, or motorcycle, there’s a camp site here at Lake George Escape that has your name on it.
